Garden Community

Connie has always loved growing things and grew up enjoying her grandparents' abundant gardens. Like many others, the pandemic gave her the opportunity to grow her own home garden. As her family learned through experience and connected to others,  Connie saw the need for community support as more people became interested in having gardens at home. Her answer was to create the Apex Plant and Seed Swap: a monthly meeting of every level of gardener to gather and share their extra seeds, seedlings, house plants, outdoor plants, veggies, garden gear, books, ideas and more.  Sign up for the Plant/Seed Swap Newsletter. 

In 2026 Connie's family decided to open a produce stand at their home in Apex, NC so they could better share their excess produce with others and raise a little money to support their gardening habit and the plant/seed swap events.  The Apex Olive Street Produce Stand is open most days as long as there is produce to share.
